John Earl established Cynosura in 1998 as a portfolio management communications consultancy. Over the years Cynosura has evolved and today John works with a syndicate of Associates, all of whom are portfolio consultants.

We are looking for those who are:
- Already a consultant, recently redundant or who have taken early retirement
- A knowledge worker with extensive real life experience
- Action oriented
- A straight talker
- Old enough to believe that courtesy, responsibility and gravitas matter
- Young enough to be flexible and able to use the latest techniques to achieve results for our clients.
Our name
Cynosura is another name for the Polestar or Navigator’s star. It comes from the ancient Greek. Cynosura is pronounced ‘syno-soora’.
