External communications is all about how you present yourself to your external stakeholders; that could be investors, the media, your local community, suppliers, regulatory agencies, competitors and many more.

Good external communications need to be well planned and executed.  It never stands still, because your organisation is always changing and outside influences require constant readjustment.

External communications is also about the reputation of your organisation, the way in which you are perceived and judged by your external stakeholders.  Smart external communications can affect the way in which your competitors react to you.
