Strategic Corporate Communications

Imagine an orchestra where every section is doing its own thing.  The string section are playing one piece of music, the woodwinds another.  In the brass section the trombones have broken away and are sounding off at full volume.

To the audience the noise is confusing and disjointed.  Although each section is playing some beautiful music none of it is coordinated because there is no conductor.

Now imagine what happens if different parts of your organisation are doing the same thing as this orchestra; sales and marketing are putting out brochures and making sales calls which are uncoordinated with executive announcements or the press releases being sent out by external affairs.  The result will be confusing to your audiences.  That’s why putting together a strategic communications plan is so important.

In this section you will find planning material covering both Internal and External Communications.

Collectively, internal and external communications are referred to as Corporate Communications.  They should coordinate the messages being delivered to your audiences.
